God wants us involved with people and impacting their lives - no matter where they live. Acts 1:8 tells us, "you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Grace Church supports six local outreach organizations as well as 12 national and global outreach ministries. We have been blessed with a rich history of "going out" to non-churched people groups.
Hurricane Harvey Relief Trips
August of 2017, hurricane Harvey crashed into the eastern coast of Texas. The devastation has been historic and well documented. There is much work to be done and Grace Church is mobilized. In partnership with Reach Global, we sent 4 teams in 2018 to support the relief efforts and we are gearing up for our 2019 trips.

Dominican Republic Summer Camp
In 2016 we had the opportunity to take a 16-person team to the Dominican Republic (DR). We experienced worship in Spanish and remembered that in Heaven, we'll all worship together. We did some manual labor in the form of moving hundreds of cinder blocks to help construct some walls for a small church 150 yards from the Caribbean Sea. We also partnered with Pastor Julio and his team from Barahona 3 days working with about 80 middle/high school un-churched students from his area at a camp retreat. Each person on the team had the opportunity to share their testimony about what God has done in their life, sometimes through very difficult circumstances. The impact of these stories was felt by everyone present. We also had focused talks on "Porque el?" AKA "Why Him (Jesus)?" Two Dominican high school guys committed their lives to Christ while we were there, which was a great privilege to be part of. God was working through our meager efforts. We made new friends and learned what it was to function as a team in a different culture.
In 2017 we did something similar the week of July 20 through July 29. Our camp focused on the Christian students at several churches around the DR. 2 Timothy 2:2 was our focus offering disciple-making principles in the hopes to continue the movement of the Holy Spirit already bringing Dominicans to Jesus. After the 3 day camp, we went to Samana to work with and encourage a couple churches in an effort to extend their ministry to the students there. In preparation for the trip our team practiced disciple-making to live out the teaching that we brought to the DR.
We'd love to have you join with us along the way. Below are a few pictures from the trip. If you are interested in going with us in the future, please contact Steve Hopper Jr.
