Life Groups

Where real life... Meets real faith

Life Groups are at the very heart of Grace Church. Jesus invites us to grow in relationship with Him, and one another.  Life Groups are the vehicle through which we live life together – we pray together, we serve together, we give together. God created us for relationship. Experiencing life within a small group encourages spiritual growth, accountability, service, outreach and ultimately multiplication of that group. (Ephesians 4:3-4;Acts 4:32; II Timothy 2:1-2; Hebrews 10:25)

"I was pleasantly surprised at how easily we became comfortable with the life group we are attending.  There is ... literally a quality or attribute that is difficult to describe or express - about this group, which is delightful."

The benefits of being part of a Life Group are far reaching.  In the context of this smaller "spiritual family" deeper relationships will be developed in a warm and safe environment. Grace Life Groups are a care-giving community as well as a place to grow personally and spiritually while serving others.

Life Groups are the primary relational vehicle for connection to the community of Grace. Life Groups are where life is lived out with other believers, and  fits into the second step of the Grace growth process.

Why is participating in a Life Group important?
Scripture and history have taught that the best way for personal and community spiritual growth to take place is in small groups which consistently administer the love of God.  It was this way in the New Testament Church, it is still this way today at Grace Church.

At Grace, Life Groups are one of the ways the body of Christ is "built up until we all reach the unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13)

How are Life Groups Structured?
Each Life Group at Grace has a personality of its own and meets in host homes at least twice each month. Grace demonstrates its commitment to Life Groups by including Dick Erickson as Life Group Ministry Director as part of its comprehensive staffing plan.
